We are dedicated to finding the perfect pet for each of our customers and proudly offer miniature and Giant German Schnauzers (Risenschnauzers). We Are Ethical Breeders

Breeding only from the best of the best dogs we locate throughout the world, all of our breeding stock is imported and only after an extended period of time and after much evaluation do we decide if a specific dog is suitable for breeding. Our new owners are looking for specific qualities which we try our best to match after evaluating each puppy. We tend to keep puppies at our farm longer than most breeders in an effort to see the puppies mature and gauge their individual qualities. Some puppies are more laid back, some are more inquisitive, some are very alert and active, etc. We also raise all puppies around adult dogs which imparts doggy manners.

Doggie manners are missing in many young dogs because breeders try to sell and ship their puppies as soon as possible. Our puppies stay with us until we have had at least two veterinary visits and full examinations. We look for breed standard, proper bite, hips, teeth, eyes, joints, manners, intelligence, and more. At Carson Kennels, we play with each puppy daily, comb, handle, and hold each puppy, crate train, start potty training, and start command recognition skills. You are not just getting a puppy from us - you will receive a loved, well cared for, tested, and graded new family member.

Having been raised in an Alaskan dog mushing family, we were often asked to provide dogs for others. In young adulthood, we searched long and hard for the best dog in the world for infant, family, and elderly companionship, as well as for security and protection. Every time the Schnauzer breed came out on top, it checked all the boxes!

We settled on the Miniature Schnauzer for its perfect size for most all living situations and later incorporated the “Risenschnauzer” or Giant Schnauzer into our kennel breeding program. The minis are fantastic for all ages; they are easy to care for, non-shedding, smart, loyal, very healthy, loving, and a “in your pocket” type of dog. The Giants are well regarded as gentle giants who are loyal to their family unit. Infants will always be safe with a giant to watch over them. Elderly individuals will be safe from invaders with a giant watching out for them. Handicapped or special-needs individuals will have a faithful companion on duty 24/7 with a giant by their side. Folks needing a service dog at their side could not find a better breed—loyal and intuitive to a fault.
